What is he then? Because he isn't a creative midfielder, having set up less goals than Jon McLaughlin, he isn't an effective defensive midfielder because he can't tackle, he isn't an attacking midfielder because he doesn't get forward, he isn't a box to box midfielder because he hasn't got the energy.

He's like a poundland Liam Bridcutt, playing at a lower level, who gets injured more.

We have no need for him whatsoever.
Brill description.

Both slower and way past it ( especially Leadbitter) only issue is McGough’s fitness , given his age and quicker footballing brain he is a far better prospect than either of those two.
 Give ower.

I'm far from convinced Power is slower than McGouch anarl.

Nailed it.

really not sure what he offers
More than McNowt

I'd agree early on in the season that's how McGeouch looked. Thought he was better and showing a bit of form in the last few chances he had mesel like.

Think you're way overrating Leadbitter and Power as well there. Sound like world beaters

We can agree to disagree. As I've said, I'd replace them all given the choice like.
Not at all - that's just how they compare to him. I'm not particularly fussed about any of the buggers.

The last game he played (that I recall) he cost us a goal against Burton (see the highlights I posted), shit himsell, went off injured never to be seen again (looked to me like he just didn't fancy it to be honest, but I'm a cynic).

It's the moment which sums him up. Watching it back again, what stands out is how when he loses the ball in a crucial promotion game, he barely pretends to track back - if that is as quick as he can run God help him. And of course he was then out injured for months from the challenge on him (which wasn't exactly hard), coming back just in time to cost us the game at Southend when he couldn't be arsed to put in a challenge in the penalty box.

He's completely unequipped to be a footballer in this country.
Agreed. Watch the highlights leading up as well - the way he jockeys the oppo, barely closing down, not getting a foot in, offering nowt.

Tbf you could pull up shit loads of videos where Power, Cattermole and Leadbitter haven't covered themselves in glory anarl..
I think ya'd struggle to find owt as bad as that though. And at least for the others ya can mention times they'd made a real contribution. What can you say McGeouch has ever done ever?

I agree. Always maintain we looked a better, more cohesive team with him in it.

Would be a shame as he is a good player and the right age. Unfortunately the club will struggle to get rid of cattermole or leadbitter who play similar roles so he is most likely to leave.

Frustrating how the club consistently backs the wrong horse
And this.

I genuinely think some just see him as an alternative/ the other option to Cattermole therefore he must be better. He wasnt as good as Cattermole last season.
I like them both. Him and Cattermole and a powerful midfielder would be good.

And what exactly does McGeouch offer? At least Power gets about the pitch and gets stuck in and has a crack at goal now and then. Fair enough his cross field balls are hideous and he needs to cut those out but aside from that his passing is fine. Leadbitter - a million times better on the ball. I agree he's not pulled up any trees and I've been disappointed with how deep he's been sat, but he's far more composed on the ball, can work the ball in tighter spaces, and his range of passing is much better. And his set pieces are good.

Sorry like, but Dylan is more McCrab than McXavi. The lad's shite and doesn't look up to it. It's been reflected in his game time.
Bingo! Get stuck in! The mantra of failure season after season. As long as our players get stuck in nothing else matters. Heaven forbid we have someone who is super comfortable on the ball.

Gets better the more he doesn't play. I'd move him on. Can't rely on him to stay fit too.

In his defence he was actually good against Luton at home and then got bombed after the game not to be seen for 3 month. That was strange.

He is comfortable on the ball however he simply didn't do enough last season. If he stays I hope he can be the player I thought we'd signed.

Last season Catts provided goals, Leadbitter provided assists, mostly from set pieces. Whereas McGeouch provided mostly side ways passes and the odd ball out wide.

We need height, strength and pace in the middle to assist all of those above.

We have the worst of the 3 wanted by another club.

Bye Dylan.
Agree. We definitely without a shadow of doubt need an athletic powerful centre midfielder with a bit of pace. We weren’t getting close even to the Charlton midfield in the playoff final we were so slow it was embarrassing.
