He means since 1892, we’d been relegated four times in over 100 years. Then another twice in the relatively short time Ashley has been in charge.

Rafa is a decent bloke. Not the greatest manager in the world, bought some shite, bought some great players and did a good job considering who his boss was. Questionable tactics sometimes, yes, but I know who I’d rather have at the club. Him or Ashley? Benitez without a doubt. Ashley has got us into a stable condition, other than that, he’s a f***ing car crash. The blokes a ****.

If relegated under him spends a fortune to get you straight back up. Spends a fortune to get a manager the fans love and can get behind. 5th place premier league finish....

He doesn't need to. Short was backed into a corner by the external lenders. All Ashley needs to do is sit tight and wait for someone to take the shares and soft debt off his hands.
