Prediction:

England will be 5-1 after five balls.

Bairstow LBW b Starc 0.
Balls: 1
Glove changes: 3
Tantrum: guaranteed.

Dragged it back well but can't see us getting that on here to be honest. Need a couple of good scores from the top 4 today.

I’d have taken that at 10:30. Think it’s eminently chasable and don’t think their bowlers are a shadow of their former selves - still deserve respect but particularly their backup pacers can be got at. Just got to bat responsibly, and Vince owes us a score, the faith that’s been shown in him is way beyond what he deserves

Root has to get a 100

Stokes in good form too

Bairstow needs to reign it in

Wicket at hands key here

Watching in sunny Benidorm on a git big fuck off screen, Ha’way England

I'm watching in Corfu, mixture of telly in the bar and Sky Go on my phone around the pool.

I would have taken 285 before the start. Pity Roy isn't playing, I'd make us slight favourites if he was. Pity Hales is a knob too.

The Aussies were very lucky the first 10 overs. Lots of edges, false shots and plays and misses. Daft under bowling of Stokes who looked a threat and was going for less than 4 per over.

Game on, Haway lads!

Tough, as it may be, better to try and see off starc and cummins, otherwise could be another malinga 4 for 30 odd situation

Aye, but against Malinga it was (IMO) because they fannyed about. I blame Vince personally, not individually, but the situation which means Vince has replaced Roy has given us a massive problem, because the two players are so different and as a result our opening dynamic has completely changed. Our powerplay batting has so often been the catalyst to our fantastic batting performances - in this tournament though that’s fallen by the wayside and a huge factor also is the apparent loss of form (compared to what he’s capable of) from Bairstow.
