Because they don’t have to spend a fortune on probably the most expensive position of the pitch.

Yet your club broke its transfer record in the same area.

Btw Spurs.. top 4 and champions league final...net spend..net spend..net spend..

Because we didn’t have that luxury. It’s not hard to grasp.

Of course Spurs have done well developing him. It’s not a criticism, merely pointing out it helps with transfer spending.

Thinking Lucas Moura is a striker though...

Shame on spurs for developing their own player. When they could have just went out and bought the best. You know, like a certain club, bought Shearer, Ferdinand, Cole, Owen....while trying to outspend the rest and buy the title.

They’ve had a shite Academy for 30 years, but ironically enough the last 3 half-decent players they’ve produced (Carroll, Fraser Foster and probably Longstaff) have came under Ashley’s tenure.

Glenn Roeder - 73 games, 45.2% win ratio, 0 relegations

Graeme Souness - 83 games, 43.4% win ratio, 0 relegation

Rafael Benitez - 96 games, 41.8% win ratio, 1 relegation

Alan Pardew - 186 games, 38.2% win ratio, 1 European quarter-final

Wind them up and watch them go, then when they’re biting drop this update

Some feel Roeder and Souness have been treated unfairly here as Benitez had a season in the Championship so here are the updated PL-only figures.

Sam Allardyce - 24 games, 33.3% win ratio, 0 relegations

Rafael Benitez - 86 games, 31.4% win ratio, 1 relegation

Souness got them to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup anarl. Remember being in the town the night Sporting dismantled them like - was class. They'd won the first leg at home 1-0 and then Dyer got them an away goal over there, 2-0 up on aggregate. Sporting then got one back and eventually scored 3 more in the last 20 minutes. Tremendous.

Fake news no other manager could do the job Rafa has, every football expert on the telly, radio and in the press has said so.
