Fuck me try supporting my club..... and talk about ambition in the same breath.
You have to look beyond the owner which I know is tough indeed. I support the shirt, the players and indeed the history.
Ashley is a chapter, sure a bad one at that but the book carries on just like at any other club.
Feel for them but ffs they think they are the only club with thus problem.
“But we are Newcastle man” So my boys and myself are Swindon languishing in the basement but you have two simple choices as do all other Supporters which is go or don’t go.
Victims? ....... we all are.
Glass houses and stones comes to mind!Supporters of NUFC who are getting ever more desperate about events at their club, have been given a special Samaritans hot-line number to call. It's 0800 101010, that's 0800 won nothing won nothing won nothing.

There should be a 7 added onto that I believe marra but mugpies don't count the 6-0 behind closed doors thrashing by our reserves on theirs a few years back at the SOL #theydivvntunderstandsimplemathsmagsSurely 0800 123456 might have been a tad more amusing?

Ironically it’s based in Charlton

Given the current predicament of your club, and the predictably over the top reaction to it. I would have thought you would have other things to occupy your time. Those crayon scrawled, misspelled, piss stained, skid mark covered, lop ridden bed sheet banners wont make themselves.‘Newcastle are obsessed with us’

Him or David MoyesMate I hope it happens, but not a snowballs chance in hell it will Monk.
Hence the reason they get big gates, they have to be seen as better than Sunderland, they'll sell out next season, not because they have a good team, or look set to win something, but because they're shit frightened we sell more seats, If we upped the capacity of the SOL they'd find some way of enlarging Sid James', just like they did the last time, make no mistake, we are their world.‘Newcastle are obsessed with us’

Iv said for years Ashley isnt half as bad as the idiots think. They would have been fucked if he hadnt took them over at the time. They should be carefull what they wish for.And this has essentially been my argument with Newcastle fans for a very long time.
They talk about Ashley like he's some form of monster, but look what some chairmen have done to proud clubs. How many teams have been really shafted by chairmen, lost grounds, had points deductions, gone bust.... But for some unknown reason they all think Mike Ashley, a man who broke their transfer record this year, is ruining the club because he wont spend vast sums of money. It defies logic.
It would serve them right to be taken over by a complete bastard who really does run the club down. It might teach them a lesson or two in humility, because it can happen to any club.
AUF WIEDERSEHEN MASCOTA
Newcastle fans have now lost the little gram of hope they’ve clung to for three years. Rafa Benitez has finally left the building.
Since his arrival they’ve held him as the great Spanish hope. The one thing that kept them resembling a football club. The one thing they could bow down in front of and beg would make them great again but at what cost?
The Magpies took their foot off the gas in their battle to remove their treacherous owner. He snared them hook line and sinker in giving them Benitez. Here was a man, who if supported financially, could have made NUFC a top half club and knocking on the door of Europe every year. Unfortunately the only thing Ashley supports is a jumble sale of a retail shop that inhabits every uk high street. Why couldn’t they see that? Benitez was given crumbs and each time season tickets needed renewing, the fat controller would invent a fakeover. They’d buy in again in enough numbers to allow Ashley yet another cost free transfer window. Fool me once and all that.
Each end of season we’ve seen the Mags raise banners proclaiming “Rafa must stay” and “if Rafa goes we go” while all that time moaning about their owner yet doing very little to remove him. Rafa Benitez became the most important character yet Ashley was always the most obvious target. They simply picked the wrong fight. Energy was spent saving Rafa which should have been spent removing Ashley. Rafas tenure was never going to have the positive effect that could counter the negatives of Ashley’s stay but football fans often want to do more believing with our fingers crossed than using common sense and reasoning.
The Geordies bought in to an easy football fan belief that “it’ll be alright in the end” instead of seeing the reality of three more years as nothing more than an advertising board for a low end sports retail outlet.
Over the last 5/6 years I’ve spent many hours talking to Newcastle fans, building relationships, meeting them and even going down to visit them. I’ve often shook my head in disbelief at the amount of apathy, which surprised me. Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty who had great ideas, they done some good things, but they just never got the numbers that the bravest deserved.
20 years ago I worked in the North East of England and I thought I knew them. I was obviously wrong back then or they’ve changed as now the majority aren’t straight talking, honest guys who’d see no one come in to there postcode and take the piss. The majority now want to squabble online and shout down those trying to make a difference. They now outweigh the Geordies I knew then. The Geordies I knew would never have allowed a Cockney to come steal their club and rip the heart out a city without standing up against him.
We know fine well you’ll never get 100% harmony in a fan base but we are also well aware that the fight would never be won by one protest or one boycott. The only way to win was to do everything you can do everyday. Fortunately for us, enough Bears done enough to win our war after a thousand battles. The Mags just never seemed to get going despite a few promising starts.
I am genuinely sad for them but as equally surprised that they seem defeated without ever really getting started. They’ll claim “ah but it’s different down here” I’ll not disagree with that but when this eventually does end with an outsider coming along with a big cheque book, what will the NUFC fans say about the part they played in the victory? “I shouted a bit online” or “I came up with some good ideas but never seen them through because of some online troll telling me it wouldn’t work”.
C’mon Geordies. Have you really gave up and happy to go down without a proper fight? The coal miners and shipbuilders of days gone by wouldn’t recognise you as their own but it’s not too late.
I think I’m going to vomit.
They took their foot off the gas when they won a few games. No protests. What a surprise.
