Mag I know (who is usually rational!) Reckons this means Almiron is off to Real Madrid!

You couldnt make it up!
Almiron could go (not necessarily to Real) tbf like. Benitez may have been part of the pull to the mags. My prediction is that if there's no takeover or big name manager comes in, he'll be off to West Ham for a bit more than they paid for him. Although if Man U get desperate he could head there

Am I the only one that isn't laughing?

I didn't rate him and my concern is they may get a decent manager now
I'm not getting carried away, but there's decent potential there now for them to implode.

I think Rafa's done a decent job there overall, and crucially has had the devout backing of their fans. I expected it to go tits up there eventually, once their fans tired of his pragmatism and negative football, but for once they lapped it up because of the name behind it.

The beauty of this situation is that nobody short of a Mourinho style appointment is going to be given anywhere near the same amount of breathing space Rafa enjoyed. For three years they've had a manager in the job who was untouchable, and that's served them quite well. The pressure will be right back on whoever takes over there now.

The only thing that really concerns me is if the takeover is on, and they have a high calibre manager lined up.

100% correct, particularly the name behind it being the only reason they lapped up his negative football

Tough one to call this if a large proportion of the fans follow though with the ‘he goes we go’ outlook then this could be interesting, the team have always had the mags fans backing under Benitez....not having that could have a massive impact and they could implode.

Alternatively Ashley could just as well get things together and actually invest......maybe he just f***ing hated Benitez?

Why exactly is it the owners fault if Benitez has left a contract on the table and chosen to walk?
Benitez was always in a win win situation stay he loves the club walks away Ashley fault

I actually said his next job would be the Chinese league for a while now looks like I could be right :lol:

Good point £50m with Rafa or £200m with someone who can actually buy a decent player.

Two journalists who've been on Talk Sport, Courtney and Edwards said he wanted control of transfer dealings and more than the £60 million available, to spend.

Big Mike said no.

My mate reckons Jose is now bookies favourite but if that is true above, no way will Jose come and work under those conditions. His reputation has taken a massive hit at Man U, he wont want it taking another battering with them lot

Only way he will go there is if new owners with £200 million plus to spend come in
