Expectation management though isn’t it. The next manager will be viewed as a stooge to Ashley and there will be protests/ a toxic atmosphere if they don’t have a seriously strong start (which is unlikely).

Cos Rafa could do no wrong then any manager who steps up is going to be faced with the problem that they’re not him. Like Moyes and Ferguson (comparison not being the quality of the team, just the supporters expectations).
