He did do well at Everton. Not so good at Man United, Real Sociedad or Sunderland but then done ok at West Ham.

I did indeed. funnily enough, he's deleted his post and my comment. i'm sure it won't stop me spending money in the tyne bank brewery though.

Aye, he always did take a while to get his team together. He was absolute dogmeat in his first season at Everton and you couldn’t afford to give him that much breathing space considering you were flirting with relegation season after season.

It would be the same with us should this hypothetical happen.

The difference with us was, he didn't put any effort into putting a team together. It was merely some of his mates from Everton and a couple of Allardyce scoutings.
