It sounds like what it is - 90's Metallica.
I was at the Twickenham gig last night and can confirm that this middle bit was terrible. The rest was excellent.

The bass solo wasn’t great either...
...that said, the gig itself was brilliant..
Aye know what you mean about the bass solo, I play bass myself so gave him a pass on that
. After 30 years or whatever it is I'll allow them some self-indulgence. James Hetfield is still the man though.
