So why are people blaming Ashley for the price of the shirt if it's the retailers that set the price?

Ashley is the retailer. NUFC Club shop is a subsidiary of Sports Direct. The stock for the club shop is bought from Sports Direct as they get a better rate due to increased buying power.

All of the NUFC Shop merchandise sold online is sent from Shirebrook.

Ashley is not the retailer. Fact.

If you think it's too expensive then don't buy the f***ing thing simple as that people actually have a choice
Excactly, if you're that low on clothes you can move one row to the left or right and you can buy ten skazenger shirts for the price of one newcastle shirt.

So what about shirts sold in shops that Ashley has no connection too, JD sports and DW sports? Why are they the same price in these shops?

I’ve just looked and I can’t see our new home shirt in either of those online stores. Have you got a link?

If we’re talking about other product, as the biggest retailer in the country Sports Direct will have access to market leading terms and often exclusive terms (consignment, sale or return, timed exclusivity on promotions, etc)

If retailers are the same price as Sports Direct on a product it’s usually relying on brand loyalty in order to protect their margin.

Is even on sale yet? I was using previous prices being the same. But I can wait till it becomes available in the other retailers approve my point.
The price is set so high due to the high demand there will be. It has nothing to do with Ashley it's the fact so many people are willing to pay the price. Simple economics

It’s up for pre-order. They’ll have last year’s figures to track against and if it’s tracking lower and they’re looking at a potential overstock they’ll have to act accordingly, whether that’s asking for price protection from Puma or returning stock.

No idea when it’s even out tbh, if it’s after 30th June they could have an issue.

And there's them that would like one but can't afford one and parents whose children would like one but are too expensive.
