He is a better cricketer than some give him credit for and when he has the security of keeping wicket and playing as an all rounder he is a good county cricketer.
I honestly don't know if it has been his decision or others at the club to ditch the gloves over the past couple of seasons and play as a specialist batsmen. But he is a better asset as an all rounder.
 
Regressed terribly imo

Looked a top class keeper batsman when he came onto the scene however long ago. Blokes a walking wicket now.
