Stadium naming rights

Why would the current owners flog naming rights to the stadium if they’re supposed to be selling up by the end of this week?
They're still going to be here/it makes the financial prospect more attractive to investors/they will probably discuss it with the new investors/this is just a promotional video to start the process

Take your pick.

Fair enough to sell the naming rights but who put that video together? A student could have knocked that up for his A level media coursework.

Not sure if it is my screen at work but the video looked like something in Windows 3.1. I have not got a problem with generating revenue for the club. Just hope it's something snappy
like TD Garden in Boston or Enterprise Center in St Louis not CHEAPER INSURANCE DIRECT STADIUM, DUMBARTON (not sute it is still called this)

Hopefully we attract a decent brand. The BT stadium or summit

Never understood this kind of thing bothering people tbh. It’s an easy money spinner for clubs and I’ll continue calling the stadium the SoL anyway.

Exactly. Arsenal and Man City fans don't appear to have a problem with it. Nor will Spurs when theirs invariably is.

"Be the first ever sponsor of the SoL" suggests the naming rights aren't being sold off.

Won't stop people kicking off about it like.

Never seen the benefit to a company spending money on renaming a ground when it’s already had a name for, in our case, 22 years.
