They would, as would we.. arsenal and Chelsea will be in Europe again pretty soon....

Them and us it would be a lifetime event to get there... most of the shitehawks over there are too young to remember their European games. They live off the memories if the dads as I have to about 1973.

The fact that most of them wouldn't walk past a Greggs it would take them 6 months to get there is the irony

Pundits do the mag fans no favours when they come out with embarrassing shit like this.

It's like when keegan said something along the lines of football fans in London would rather watch a theatre show than football where as Newcastle fans are much more passionate. It really annoyed a lot of fans down south.

Football fans all over the country are just as passionate about their own team whoever that may be.

just because the mags get bigger attendances than a lot of clubs, mainly due to them being 1 club in a massive area it doesn't mean that they are more passionate more vocal, better fans.

He is correct though to be fair, I don't mean that Newcastle fans would walk across hot coals etc but his point of them handing back tickets for a European cup final game.. How many would Sunderland hand back? None would be my guess, how many would Southampton, wolves, Brighton, Newcaslte etc etc etc..

It's pretty shit support in my opinion.

This is something we should always remind ourselves of.

Listening to Charley on the podcast he states that the difference with supporters at SAFC and up here there is simply more of us / equally as passionate as say Oxford supporters who go week in / week out.

I was going to say must be hard doing that at a lower league club, but here we are for coming up to a 2nd season of being just that :cry:

he is an absolute fat mess but Newcastle are amongst a number of teams that would sell the allocation afforded to Arsenal and Chelsea for a European final.....us included

"valid point" :lol:

Any club outside the top 6 would welcome the chance with the added bonus of being able to walk more than 200 yards in a straight line

:oops::oops::oops:
By my reckoning, walking to Baku from Newcastle would take just over 31 days of walking continuously at a non-stop pace of 4 miles per hour. This is something that has not been achieved before by any human. Of course, Newcastle fans are not however, your typical humans. The really intriguing part would be whether it would be in fact possible for them to walk over the English Channel without drowning. I would be more than happy for them to attempt this, though. Should they achieve this rather miraculous fate, then I suspect the only issues they will then encounter are physical exhaustion, sleep deprivation, extreme hunger and consequently death.

So with that said, does anyone fancy setting up a fundraiser page for Mick Quinn and some of his mag mates to attempt this in a month on foot?
