They were apparently trying to buy Liverpool last season but Liverpool eventually got bored of their time wasting when they couldn’t prove they had £25 million as a down payment.

Of the two mags I work closely with one takes a similar view to you (but is a non-attender) and is convinced the whole story is a lie.

The other is convinced the story is true in its original form, is absolutely buzzing and won’t listen to anything to the contrary. He’s a season card holder so has more skin in the game.
 
Everything is currently just speculation, emails to local press :rolleyes: other parties claiming to know the cousin of someones brother who's married to the uncle these Sheikhs. It's all just bollocks.

What we do know for certain is that this group has expressed an interest in purchasing NUFC (and hopefully all its holdings)
They have agreed to a price with the owners of NUFC
NUFC have accepted that price

As far as we know, there has been no proof of funds (there may have been but we don't know)
We don't know if these people are tire kickers, we don't know if they serious.

just have to wait I guess.

Even if a rich Arab buys the club, my life won't change. My salary will not increase. I would not be able to book a fancy holiday, or buy a bigger house. If anything, the cost of my season ticket would likely go up.

Ashley swigs pints, loves a curry when he is pissed, is a reckless gambler and has done his fair bit of slagging about.

He is sure to be lacking morally, but if I was a multi millionaire, then I would get up to all types of carry on.

you should do. he's treated people newcastle supporters should hold in the highest respect with nothing but contempt.
away from football he's a morally bankrupt piece of human scum who has a sneering disregard for both the people he employs and the customers who've made him so wealthy.
i had a bottle of champagne on ice in the fridge for far longer than i wanted it to be waiting for thatcher to depart this mortal coil. i sincerely hope i don't have to wait so long to pop the cork for ashley.

next time ashley jumps out his f***ing helicopter i hope the rotors are still spinning and he forgets to duck.
