The accounts show nothing of the kind. They show a cost of investment in Madrox's books of £37m. They also show a cash injection from Donald of £5m, a loan from SAFC to Madrox of £9.6m, and a residual other creditor in Madrox of £22m. What may or may not have happened to £25m of the parachute payment is buried in intercompany movements before the year end that are invisible in the published data.
oh right-i misunsderstood-the ppint i made was based on somehing you had posted-i must have misunderstood it.

I guess you weren't at the last 12-15 matches when our fans constantly sang Charlie Wyke songs to get behind him despite him missing some sitters

Yes I was, I think it was the Accrington away game just after Wembley where the song started and he visibly grew in stature after that.....Prior to that he was given a right load of shit with fans even laughing when he missed chances. Then they wonder why his confidence looked shot.

i think your rigt-i think the problem is-and its not the fans problem and this is what the owners dnt understand-a large crowd will always have some poeple who boo or whinge-and safc always will-the remedy for this is to have players and managers that-as best you can know-are strong enough or experienced enough-to deal with a large crowd...that we dont have players like that is the owners fault though...they are very niave people...as i hvae repeatedly said...and this is just one example of it.

The reality is they didn’t provide a good enough squad

Our team is average

I’ll never understand why they didn’t go for it this year, we could have walked the league and all these arguments would be irrelevant

Pretty poor interview all around.

Not sure why a PR guy with a minor stake in the club is talking about footballing issues and how we played.
Pretty poor dig at the fans - though he is right, we were quiet.
And at one point he seems to suggest that everyone involved in the club needs to take a look at themself, including the fans due to 'lack of belief'. Sorry Charlie, it wasn't my lack of belief that lost 21 points from winning positions and two Cup Finals.

These two are beginning to look out of their depth IMO. I'd rather they just kept quiet.

I appreciate that may be because of the blow from Sunday, and equally because he will have been mightily pissed off after the match that his relatively small financial gamble hadn't paid off in terms of the asking price for the club as much as he must have hoped.

Listened to this and 'lack of belief' sounded like it was about the team sheet / formation, not the fans....

I agree with your assessment but how does getting on the players backs help that? We cant sign anymore so why undermine the ones we have when we need them to be the best they can be?

I didn't say it helps. I actually don't think there are many fans that were like this at our games this season. I sit in Roker End mind so maybe they moan in other parts of the ground

So I've gone back through here, seems Charlie's lost the fans.

Never a good sign. No way back now.

That’s plainly not true, he divides opinion like a good PR Man does - most if not all have said they agree at least in part to what he has said

Clip on twitter has him saying we should be aiming for 100 points next year. Who’s unrealistic now?! Are there two Charlie methvens??

Why are the two things mutually exclusive, he can say both without contradicting himself surely? If we got 85 points this season then with the right recruitment this summer than surely an extra 15 points is realistic in a season when we had 20 draws?

What the owners don’t appreciate is the years of pride swallowing disappointment and underachievement the supporters have endured. Confidence is fragile bordering on non-existent. We don’t enjoy cup finals because we dread losing, rather than dream of winning. That reflects in the atmosphere.

It’s remarkable that our fans continue to turn up in their numbers given the shit they have had to put up with.

Charlie needs to be mindful, more appreciative and quite frankly, he needs to shut the fuck up.
This is what it comes down to for me. I’ve no issue with our own fans calling out poor attendances or atmospheres cos they’ve lived the same 15 years we have.

CM has been here five minutes and he doesn’t understand this club or it’s fans despite his efforts to prove otherwise. That’s not a problem in itself but becomes one when he starts having a pop at us like he has now done three times.

Nobody deserves to go up because they're a bigger club. To be fair I haven't heard anyone say that though.
I've heard plenty say we shouldn't be in this league because of the size of the club, including the lad interviewing CM.
