Don’t be daft man I hope they rot, couldn’t bear to see them be mildly successful again. And if it takes Newcastle doing well to improve our support then we are doing something wrong.
I used to be like that and maybe after a period of relative success for them I would feel it again like I did in the 90’s. Real bitterness and football hatred towards them. A real us v them mentality than only those who live in split areas can appreciate.
We are doing something wrong mate as have all the others. We are still in div 1, boro still in championship and mags still near bottom
Of premier just surviving each year.
Our fan base on the whole is full of women and families and traditional support from young males seems to be declining as the young uns today seems to have other interests.
Maybe it’s an age thing with me, hitting 50 and thinking how many bland years of football have I got left . Years that go by without any real excitement except for maybe 1 or 2 games a season .
I don’t want them to ever win anything mind just to stir the pot a bit and create a bit of chaos.

I will be disappointed if the story turns out to be false. After your team let you down massively again this weekend I'll not begrudge you having a laugh. I doubt that your laughs will be as loud as mine today reading you lot have collective meltdown as you stared disaster in the face. Some of you lot took this really bad.

Have a pint of bisto to celebrate.

Even if it’s not a piss take I wouldn’t be bothered , In fact I would welcome them being taken over . I’m bored with how things are in football generally but especially how it is in the north east. Mags are shite and struggle year after year as do us and Boro.
There seems to be no real excitement or ambition up here and it doesn’t look like it will change anytime soon. Atmosphere at all our grounds seems to be declining .
Maybe if something big happened up here then it might invigorate the other teams a bit , galvanise the other teams supporters to try and prove a point and create a bit of resentment and togetherness that seems to be missing .
I remember the 90’s when Keegan and the 92’s were crawling all over .there was a real steel about our support that developed over the years and created some of the best days following Safc that I can remember .

I think you're right. For 3 or 4 years during the peak Keegan years, Sunderland seemed light years behind. A couple of years later, two 7th place finishes. Perhaps a strong neighbour leads to refocusing and a stronger sense of direction and purpose.

I hate the mags as much as anyone

But it’s sad that north east clubs have to rely on being taking over by a fuckin sheik to be competitive

Hopefully he knocks down the ground n drills for oil

Seriously you are talking out your ass, your profile pic shows the level of stupidity as Cortez is a nutjob and then you preach about staring disaster in the face, we lost a Wembley final by a last minute goal, happens to the best of us apart from the mags as they haven't known a proper Wembley final for god knows how many years, the gravy must be running dry in geordie deluded land as all season they have been obsessed with Sunderland! You think punching horses, smashing up their own ground and city, disrupting amateur footy games, attending their rivals games and thinking they clever attending Trafalgar was enough... but no they try to act all clever on their rivals board over a takeover which the most logical person can see is Agent Mike stringing them along to buy more season tickets at the landfill! Just imagine the meltdoon down the cartoon when it is proved to bs and wor Rafa leaves:lol::lol::lol:

I get what you mean like, the last few years of shit has really done a number on our support. You could feel it yesterday as soon as the equaliser went in everybody knew what was going to happen. We need something to galvanise us and get us going again to change the defeatist mentality that we currently have.

That's football now and why it's feels pointless watching it even if we got to the Premier League the best we could hope for is mid table and then aim for 7th in the future, what's the point?

I’m hoping it ends up being the same fake sheik who duped Sven.

Can’t say I’m not worried though. Let’s be honest, after yesterday waking up to this news it’s a f***ing disaster isn’t it. Some birthday this has been. :(
Mine was f***ing yesterday.

Yes the famous self titled ’mackem nation’ ‘famous number 9’ ‘ghost of bob stokoe’ looking down on us ‘the entertainers’ ‘everyone’s 2nd team’ we are so alike aren’t we?

All of those examples coined by the fans, not the media of course.

Sadly so. We'd be exactly the same though if we were still in the Premier league. Don't know what's so special about them c*nts

You do. It's in your post. We are in Premier League and can be bought relatively cheaply.

 you're joking, right?

I've never seen us lot smash our own city centre up because we can't get our own way, it's the equivalent of stamping your feet.

Or what about walking about the streets with misspelled bedsheets?

Not to mention punching defenceless animals

Your examples obviously refer to all of us of course. All 45,000 who attend home games regularly?

A recent report i read was about 3 of your fans receiving banning orders after violence at Coventry. I can only assume therefore that your entire support that day were trouble makers...… no thought not.

Can one of you lot keep an eye on this one if the sale goes through. You might want to consider having him sectioned. He sounds like he's already half way over the edge.

They need to grow up it’s only football

Same goes for you tbf still laughing

A billionaire who can’t stump up £25 million as a deposit? I’d be a tad sceptical to say the least.

Apparently they use the link to the Man City owners, despite the fact is bollocks as well. The deal may still go through, but it appears they haven’t landed the dream owners they had hoped.

Newcastle does seem a strange location for a billionaire shiekh mind. Especially when he could get West Ham for the same price
