'Indeed, sources close to those talks have reacted with scepticism to claims Al Nehayan has beat them to it, with two well-placed figures dismissing claims Ashley has sold the club as “bullshit” and “complete bollocks.”'

Even if it’s not a piss take I wouldn’t be bothered , In fact I would welcome them being taken over . I’m bored with how things are in football generally but especially how it is in the north east. Mags are shite and struggle year after year as do us and Boro.
There seems to be no real excitement or ambition up here and it doesn’t look like it will change anytime soon. Atmosphere at all our grounds seems to be declining .
Maybe if something big happened up here then it might invigorate the other teams a bit , galvanise the other teams supporters to try and prove a point and create a bit of resentment and togetherness that seems to be missing .
I remember the 90’s when Keegan and the 92’s were crawling all over .there was a real steel about our support that developed over the years and created some of the best days following Safc that I can remember .

Don’t be daft man I hope they rot, couldn’t bear to see them be mildly successful again. And if it takes Newcastle doing well to improve our support then we are doing something wrong.

This is exhausting, spoken to several colleagues tonight and they are all feeling the same way. We are right to be cynical. This is the fifth time in 11 years #nufc have supposedly been on the brink of a takeover. All we can do is hope this is different because no proof it is yet

Of course he's not related as it's probably this bloke sniffing after the HMRC story that had gone a bit quiet recently ;-)

For decades, Mazher Mahmood exposed various personalities in the News of the World whilst posing as a fake sheikh.

You're not wrong there marra, it was sheer defiance in the face of us being light years away from them at that point.

Having said that I still don't want to see them being taking over by the "Awabs".

Why would a Leyton Orient fan ‘hope this is different’?
