How is it bad news for us? Other than from a rivalry perspective it has no bearing on our league performance

Can't you remember the 90s pal? It's all ifs and buts at the minute. Just say this happens and they sign blah blah and we still in league 1. You know what kids are like. Anyway fuck it I'm off to kip

I could not give a fuck about it

That's you then. Nothing to worry about then

Kids would be like that if we were in the PL. If they get awab man amounts of money kids are jumping no matter our league. Not worthwhat iffing and turning all woe is us

Then there was a ‘big 4’ now there is a ‘big 6’, theres also financial fair play and clubs even in the bottom half can turn the big boys down as they get insane money just for finishing 17th. The landscape has dramatically changed in 10 years.

Yep that's a very good point actually, things have tightened up in terms of spending since early Abramovic/Mansoor days when they just came in and immediately started splashing cash. Might take a while longer then I suppose, if the sheik doesn't get bored.

You could even spin it and say that people still see some potential up here which might help us attract investment as we are a cheaper alternative with good facilities/fan base. That's the most positive I have been for hours - I do appreciate I am probably talking bollocks

Man City with money were probably 3rd most favoured destination for players at the time behind United and Chelsea. The scum will always be 7th at best until they get into the champions league. The clout the big clubs have is massive, arsenal surrendered their best players to City whilst clubs doing well at the time like Villa and Everton rolled over for City when they came calling .... nowadays even Burnley and Brighton are more powerful than Everton and Villa were then given the colossal money just for getting 17th.

Before you know it, the situation risks becoming a reflection of the 1990s... except even worse.

you'd be very wrong then.

anyway....

take it easy man.
