We met some great Darlo Mackems on the train up to the game end of season 2014/15 season.
We had planned to have the dinner time in Newcastle but they invited us straight to Sunderland with them and they took us to Sinatra’s ( I think)
Met up again after the match and had a tour round , Indigo bar ,Londonderry and a couple of others, right good piss up.
Met them the next season aswell

Direct train line that's really fast. That coupled with the fact that your town is Darlington (zero national identity) and your local team are (were) shite and unfashionable. Just jump on the bandwagon and support the club people have heard of and who's city is git famous and that.

I wonder whether the hatred stems from the criminal ?from Sunderland? Who built the Darlington stadium and then destroyed their club as the story goes.
 
From the nearby area and like most of south Durham I watched it turn ever more black and white in the mid 90’s. It’s even worse to see those lot now have kids running around in mag tops. Keegan stole a generation down here I tell you

very true .but the mags have always been here. me dad told me about the black and white club who ran a bus in from shildon in the 50s. and as a boro fan i had to dodge the darlo mags back in the 70s coming back from home games to shildon. there was always a good number

What school was a few of us at Carmel but mostly mags I live very near Polam now and mostly see Man City and Liverpool nowadays which is better than mags I suppose

Can confirm as ex Carmel that there were quite a few mackems in my year.
