Wherever has the most bog-standard “Yankee” accent. I’m afraid I’m unfamiliar with the intricacies of different American dialects. Definitely not the Deep South though, that just sounds daft.
I'm mainly rubbish at doing accents anyway. Can't do an American one.
I'm good at a Glaswegian accent though, and when I say 'Spice Girl' in a Glaswegian accent, I sound like an American saying 'space ghetto'.
