Darlington Mags

Often hear on here about Durham Mags but for me these are the worst of the lot. Was in Voodoo last night and a right little scrote of about 55 year old (6 stone wet through) was giving it the big one squaring up to someone for saying they were off to Wembley tomorrow.

The hatred people in Darlington in general have for SAFC is bizarre

Tell me about it. I grew up the only Sunderland fan in my school.

Stanley mags are worse IMHO, absolute creatures, still eat with their fingers and refuse to bathe.

:)

knew loads of stanley's Newcastle supporters during the 80s, outstanding bunch of young men, absolute pillars of society.
on the whole they always drank in the kings head or the royal. you should've popped in and told them so, they were always very open to constructive criticism!

you might, I'm not from stanley, but served me apprenticeship at the ever ready so got to know loads of stanley lads during the late 70s, early 80s and carried on popping up there for a pint for a number of years afterwards. not been there for 20 years now if not longer.
if I recall east stanley club wasn't used much, more than the central.
sunderland supporters on the whole were only tolerated provided they stayed in the thatchers foot, although there was a concession for two mackems in the kings head and they drank in there regularly. top blokes, both of them!

;)

I worked a few times as an engineering sub contractor at the hitachi plant at newton aycliffe. I stopped at the premier inn at darlington on each occasion and just round the corner was a bar called the boot and shoe. you ever been in there?
clientele made those in the star wars bar look positively normal, great laugh nonetheless!

That and the Joseph Pease are like the holding pen for benefits street shame as a lot of nice bars further up. That is the only place in my life where I've seen someone be told they couldn't come in as they were dressed too smartly and it would alert the regulars :lol::lol:

They all try way to hard to be true mags but will never really be accepted by the born n breed toon toons..

Ps forgot to add they should all be tarred and feathered anarl..
