Well I think they have done a cracking job and if they have done it on the cheap then what difference does it make? If we get promoted then its job done doesn't really matter how much they paid...
It would be a lot easier to take it seriously if they weren't blatantly trying to make you dislike SD and CM without context.

I agree on that score. Not saying I think it's a massive story or owt, but I was under the impression that the parachute payments were going to help pay down the debt, with Short paying off the rest. I thought the purchase price (from Donald/ Methvent to Short) came out of their own pockets

They've heavily implied it, but even in the quotes they have from Methven it talks about parachute payments going towards the SBC debt, not to Short. SD was very open that the parachute payments were essentially secured by Short in case SD didn't make the final payments for the club.
Yeah is badly written, which is why most people will dismiss it.

They’d need to get us into well over one hundred million quids worth of debt to get anywhere near accomplishing what short did. He paid a chunk of it off that’s fair enough, but it shouldn’t be forgotten who was ultimately responsible for it.
