Will this sell out?

i still think we will have more fans than them in the ground on the day.

either way, its anything but embarrassing. we are taking nearly 40k people the length of the country for the second time in 8 weeks. how many other clubs would take more than that, given all influencing factors (i.e we are in League 1, have been shit for years and have been pretty crap even by our low standards for most of this year). its not excuses, its facts that make our support extraordinary

if this is embarrassing then you must be embarrassed quite a lot

Man City got a lot of shit for it in the FA Cup Semi (iirc) when they didn't sell out. This is despite 4 trips to Wembley this season and multiple European away days.

getting to this final is an achievement-we havent been crap for most of he year-we wldnt be here if we had-safc couldnt sell out for 10 years in the prem, "because we were crap for most of it" and now cant when its a big game for promotion.
we only seem to sell aout at 7th in the prem level-not much use at all that..not as much potential as people think.

I wouldn't bother mate. You're debating with a bloke with the mind of a child

We haven't sold 2,000 in 90 mins mate. Club have just removed them from sale for whatever reason. I think we'll be about 4,000 shy from selling out. I expect the vast bulk who intend to go will now have their tickets.
This, its the middle of blocks 524/525/526. I reckon the club have given them to players and staff

Worth remembering that Charlton only bought c500 for their game at SOL, the second lowest away attendance of the season

aye but they sold like 20k, and had vast amounts of red seats left upstairs.

We will still take around 35k

so fuck about 'selling out' - just look at the actual numbers. i never get why people look at clubs empty seats or how many sell outs they get. it means nothing. we have a 48k seater stadium, how on earth are we supposed to sell that out every week? if we had a 25k seater stadium, and sold it out every week, would that make us better fans? even though there are 10k locked out. the facts are, we have averaged 32k this season, which is incredible, regardless of how big or small our ground is. and we have accumulated the most away fans over the season by a country mile. and we will have taken nearly 80k people to wembley in the space of 8 weeks, its incredible. it doesnt matter how big allocations are. what if they gave us 60k allocation, and we 'only' sold 50k, would that be disappointing?

and for the record, we have been poor for the most part since new year. anyone who has attended games home and away will confirm that. we have ground out some important wins, and fucked up on plenty occasions.

Hopefully not this coming Sunday

Absolutely spot on mate.
The trouble is there's negative fuckers on here who thrive on any opportunity to have a pop at the fans.
They were itching to pronounce that it wouldn't sell out within hours of the tickets first going on sale.
If we win which is the most important thing, that'll be a side issue because they'll still be having a pop if it hasn't sold out.
Sad fuckers.

I'm sure it wasn't as many as we have sold for this.

It's won't have been but that wasn't my point. They've been to Wembley 4 times this season and still got the piss taken out of them, there's no way an argument of 'Well we've already been so it's fair that we didn't sell out' would cut it with most. Even though it is a very reasonable argument.

No they didn't. They brought 770 for a dinnertime kick off live on Sky - a great effort.

Burton (109), Gillingham (331), Blackpool (398), Fleetwood (474), Walsall (647), Accrington (661), Peterborough (672), & Shrewsbury (697), all brought less.

Dear lord we will have around 35k for a bloody league 1 play off game...

Just after having nigh on 40k for a bloody checkatrade game.

People need to calm down a little.
I’d have thought the best fans in the land would’ve sold out to be honest.

Fair point, but 5 of those clubs you mention came on a Tuesday/Friday night.

What a tiresome chap you are. We aren't the best fans in the land but are amongst the best. We have had the highest average in the third flight ever - that's bigger than Man City, Villa or Leeds when they were down there. We will have taken something like 75K to Wembley in a short space of time and I don't think any other fans have 'taken over London' like we did except the Scottish National team. Our fans have been amazing this year on the back of two disastrous relegations yet you delight in vaguely cynical put downs. Tiresome.

Has a pop regularly out our support but fucked the Portsmouth play off home game off. His opinion is worthless
