He’s been opening the batting for the 2nds and has a few scores doing so, including an unbeaten century last week.

He’s there to just play shots and try and get quick runs at the top of the order basically, which he’s done quite well for the 2nds

Unreal how different he looks in the red ball game. I was hoping his form in the 50 overs would act as a catalyst and get him some red ball runs but it certainly doesn’t look that way

I agree however he deserves his chance & I'm happy to see players rewarded with a promotion after good 2nd xi performance, something which wasn't happening last season.
