Jealous of finishing mid table? Aye, terribly, the Premier League is boring as, they can pretend otherwise but it really is.

It's like groundhog day in that league, you get splattered off the top teams and hope you beat the shit ones. It is truly a woeful competition. It would only be enjoyable if your club is taken over by a wealthy nutter that is happy to spend a limitless pot of money on world class players and even then it's not certain that you'll win the league, therefore the spending must continue season after season.

It won't be long until Benitez is deemed to have taken them as far as he can and they'll be on his back. It happens to them all.

I'm aware of that. Durham isn't Wearside though. Neither is Bishop Auckland, Witton, Wolsingham or Eastgate. Just like Prudhoe and Hexham aren't Tyneside.
Durham is the capital of County Durham, Sunderland is still ceremonially and emotionally in the county, Bishop and Witton Castle are built alongside the Wear and Wolsingham and Eastgate are in Weardale. The majority of people in the county support Sunderland and the Durham mags define the term plastic mag

Only on the dark side could Durham be not on wearside
Is that Fram

Wearside is the Sunderland conurbation. At a push you'd include Seaham and Houghton.

I'm not saying the cathedral has any place on their flag mind.
Yes I give you that but you must also concede the wear goes through Durham but not Seaham or Houghton ,as a interesting aside it'd reckoned that way back in history the wear emerged into the north sea in the hartlepool area

Absolutely mate. Absurd to put that on their flag, Think Durham, think Wear. No question about it. Its just not Wearside.

I'm not sure about the Hartlepool bit mind.

To be fair it was the width of the river from County Durham till 1974.

Having the cathedral on the flag is absurd. But Durham City isn't Wearside like.
Last time I looked the river wear runs right through Durham Wearside marra
