Mmm maybe it is meant to represent where their support is drawn from.In the same way SAFC support extents beyond the Sunderland city boundaries, all over Co.Durham,S.Tyneside and further afield.Just a thought:eek:

On that basis Man Utd would need a flag size of the UK, it’s a pathetic attempt to make out that Newcastle is the region. Cathedrals have f all to do with football and certainly not those not even in the same city as the team.

Sunderland is still in County Durham. tyne and Wear isn't a County it's a metropolitan county, mainly formed because the mags couldn't afford to build the metro themselves and needed our wealth to build it, they promised the metro would extend to Sunderland using the Alexandra Bridge upper deck to do this then promptly had the access arches to the northern end of the bridge demolished which meant it couldn't be used! Look at what has been built on tyneside compared to what has been built on Wearside since tyne and Wear was formed. We've been robbed, we want Sexit, Sunderland out of t&W. We are County Durham, always have been always will be.
Roger Whittaker is/was a South African isn't/wasn't he?

Tyne and Wear destroyed Sunderland. They turned it into a ghetto to service Newcastle.

You're definitely the sort to put a little Geordie accent on in the city of Newcastle so that you feel like you fit in, you f***ing whalloper

You didn't need to tell us you were a Durham Mag. Anyone reading your posts could have worked that out.

Fair point-but it does annoy me as a SAFC supporter living in Durham City that some people think and associate SAFC only with the city of Sunderland ignoring the many thousands of us who live beyond the city’s boundaries.I do agree about the whole John Hall Geordie region thing:rolleyes:

Whilst on the subject of Mag 'heritage', they proudly claim ownership of the great anthem Blaydon Races. Blaydon is in Gateshead County Durham and the author of the song was also from Gateshead.
In the case of the Mags, let me paraphrase Marcus Garvey, a people who don't know their history is like a tree without roots.......

There it is, he’s a Durham mag scumbag

Ps you thick ****, Durham is on Wearside so you are from Wearside. The river runs through the heart of your city and county.
