I said ages ago to look out for the Barnsley Chop, and feck me, he's turned up.

A tremendous season for all 4 teams the points tally for luton, us, pompey and sunderland has been unreal. Very little to choose between all 4 of us a result or goal here and there. I wish u gd luck in playoffs all 4 teams in with a chance, if u make wembley i believe u will smash it.

I do think morpeth macken is very harsh on us, we are a medium sized club not tinpot as he says and do averate about 12-13000 at home (more than bournemouth in the prem) not 5000 as he states. Onwards and upwards

My boss is a sunderland fan and we have had some banter this season, she text me after we went up to say well done and i replied with gd luck in the playoffs u will smash it. All rhe best in the next few weeks, lets hope football is the winner and u of course.
If you finished 3rd or 4th you wouldn't have posted this about tremendous season points tally blah blah blah its only cos you've gone up that your on here posting this. Now run along

Our fans have some right short tempers mind.

Some fan comes on and says ‘great points tally from all of us’ and half get annoyed at it.

Can see why a lot of opposition fans love coming on this forum...
Because coming on here to be a 'gracious winner' is patronising as fuck.

You deserve your promotion

Well done Sir

The table don’t lie

Good luck next season OP.

If we played a few more games like the first half at our ground v you lot then we would have been promoted......but we didnt.

In fact i cant remember getting close to that performance.
Yes that and the first half at Wembley, thinking back now what a crap league bar say the top six proof of where we finished with nearly 20 draws and nearly half our home games drawn, Hmmmmm.

But your not , in many ways . You have a huge stadium and fantastic support but your arrogance is cringeworthy . Teams come to the SOL wanting to win so badly because they go on your forums and read comments like ‘ it’s their cup final ‘ , the motivation of teams to respond to that is so valuable , it’s like an extra 10% for free . It’s like listening to the team from the pub down the road telling everyone how great they are despite being 4th in the league . Long may it continue , teams like Sunderland , Leeds, and even Man Utd atm think they have a right to be up their . Your arrogance gives everyone else extra motivation

Fuck off man!

No time for your arsehole fans our shitty little club after the way your lot went on at Wembley & up here

To say we are too big for this division isn't arrogance, it's a fact.

On any measure SAFC SHOULD be higher in English football's rankings then the 3rd tier.

HOWEVER we are where we deserve to be because of years of chronic miss management & the fact we haven't put teams to the sword this season.

I've a feeling we will have another season down here based on our form over the season, but that doesn't change the fact we should be operating at a higher level.

Big club as in ground , fans and ancient history . I think that’s a fair enough statement . But your a league 1 club and there is no getting away from that . Sleeping giant ?? Maybe . All about money now. Get a mega rich owner you will be a big club

Sleeping giant? Haway man Sheffield Wednesday are a sleeping giant or maybe Leeds. We’ve been down in this division one season and we’re pulling in crowds the like has never been seen in this league. We might be down on our luck a little but we are still a giant in all but league position, very much still wide awake. You’ll never be anything more than Championship bait though, that’s if you manage to get up in the next few years.

Careful now someone will be along shortly to accuse you of being a mag
on the windup. Seems to be a fairly widespread narrative parroted by a select aggressive few on here determined to play us down as a club for some reason. Never let them.

My mate is a Huddy fan from Wakefield and often rants about what a tinpot club you are who are mid table league one size at best (sure you have most seasons of any club in the championship however) . No disputing you've been much better on the field though

I hope you do make it back . I agree Pompey will only get as far as the championship without huge investment . But I’m happy with that . The premier league is boring , striving to beat relegation or getting a spot in the top 10 is not my bag . And little Pompey nearly went bankrupt off the back of it . The truth is without a mega rich owner crowds of 50,000 still won’t be enough . Unfortunately money has taken over .

I say we steal their manager Daniel Stendel, and their backroom staff Dale Tonge and Conan Troutman and then we could end up on Rogue Trader.

We're a big club for the division we're in. The biggest club in it. It's beyond any doubt

Another season we would have got automatic promotion, fair play to your lot and Luton you both deserve it .

I wasnt trying to be, sunderland are a big club with massive support and a big game for all teams. Would like to come to SoL again next season
No patronising in there kids, just another decent fan like most of us who've enjoyed the season battle. Let's put it this way, they won't be cheering for Donny in the playoff's :)

More like astronomical. Other than City there’s been no bigger club in this league.
