Rolex Watches

Nice watches.
Hold value well, I’ve been wanting a all silver Daytona for ages.

Can’t get hold of them.
I’ve got the all steel with a white face. Thought they would go down in price when the ceramic bezel ones came out a couple of years ago but they keep on climbing. You can get them over here like I can maybe sort one out for you if you’re interested.

Paid 6k for mine, Prince Harry had the same one on when he bayonetted the dalai llama back in nam

Explorer II

Wear it every day, makes a class toastie
See I knew there would be a tiny corner of common ground in the Venn diagram of our respective tastes!

I had a white face one. Flipped it later but still have some mild regret. Nice bit of kit.

I'd get a Hublot if I was spending that sort of coin on a watch

Why?
No heritage, questionable taste, yet to see one I like the look of!

Look nice though
Horses for courses I suppose.

Not for me. Too many crappy copies.

Omega Seamaster would be my watch of choice.
Craig is advertising the newer ones (with the date at 6 o clock) so may be sporting one in next year’s Bond flick. Very nice looking. I darent look too closely in case I go down the rabbit hole but a bargain at that price and bit more interesting than a boring black face Submariner.

Wouldn't mind a decent watch if I'm ever not broke in the future. Seems similar to buying a guitar; you get to enjoy them and you can cash in on them later if you need to.

£3k and the like seems a lot, but folk spend £1,000s on ephemeral shite like laptops, phones etc. that'll be lying in a landfill in 10 years.

The one I really like I can’t afford so what’s the point.

The silver and gold ones are 13k now whereas the all silver is around 9k new.

Big difference and probably the reason they are like rocking horse shit new.
I wouldn't have one, so haven't looked, but what's the matter with going into the used market, instead of waiting list.

I'd have the vintage Paul Newman Dayton, only, I think, if pressed.

I just like the look of some of them, some are hideous too. Not that I'll ever drop that sort of money on a watch unless I win the lottery

I'm tempted to get a Tag Heuer on 1 of those 60 month interest free plans from AMJ Watches like. Best I have at the minute is Seiko/Citizen
