The Cricketers? Its fine in there man.

I've been in a few times when it's been like a tinder box..it was funny one year watching a mob of them by the pool table..I could hear them cursing and making threats among themselves..they knew there too many Sunderland though.

The one with the beer garden near to Shrewsbury's new ground this year was 'interesting'.

Rose of Denmark, Greenwich. Was there Charlton away when Flo scored. Dog fight going on inside ! Put on a shite Glaswegian accent and avoided a hiding.

Tidied.. looks like its friendly as fuck now

Unbelievable that mate at the same time scary, it got burnt down a few years back
Must have been the same one, I just remembered knotty ash as there was a sign on the road in. RAF it all kicked off and they smashed our van up outside. Got a police escort into the ground but the only gate they could take us through was the home end bit worrying but we were all pissed up. But definitely the roughest pub I’ve ever been in and out lass will tell yer I’ve been in loads

A Rangers bar called The Louden near Celtic Park. Was in there before we played Celtic in a pre-season friendly about ten years ago..

The Cricketers? Billy Whitehurst was landlord there for a while

Don't know what it's like now but years ago it was rough..there was a lad on a match thread on here not so long back asking where to go for a pint at Sheff Utd..he said he'd gone to the Cricketers looked inside and it looked rough as fuck..like I posted earlier there's been times when you could tell the locals wanted a pop but there was just too many Sunderland there.

I'll be going in there when I get back from the Pompey game if the blades win on Saturday ,allways a good crack on London rd

Been to a few rough ones with sunderland, but the worst was near St. Andrews , travellers outside ground causing havoc, kids on motor bikes, few fights, then after Cambridge won 3-0 we decided to go in this pub to have a pint, about 30 of us , wasn’t pleasant

Anyone go in the Boleyn while West Ham were there?

yep i went in with Barry The Jew (a long time mate and one of the biggest nutcases i have had the pleasure of meeting, Talkshite listeners will know his as Barry from west ham he is/was a regular caller) as he was affectionately known by his ICF mates Bill Garner etc, he introduced me to them all and told them all I was a Sunderland fan, was the most uncomfortable hour or so )))))

This for me too. Tried a few pubs on a night game about ten years ago and couldn’t wait to get out of every one. Absolute shitehole around there, worst place I’ve been and there’s been quite a few runners and riders over the years
