Hard to argue with that really, his record speaks for itself - he’s been an immense scorer of runs in county cricket. Would love to see him stamp his mark on England number 3.

Strange he's never had a chance when the likes of vince have had a few
 
Crazy he's never had a chance before, he's barely had a bad season and has constantly churned out runs and big scores for a decade. He's 34 now I think so seems a bit late in the day for him but he has to be the unluckiest player in the country, especially when you consider some of those who've had a chance.
 
I think while he was at his peak, the people in the England team were ahead of him.

However it must have been a tight call, due to his consistency

Probably missed the boat due to his age now.
