Is it not possible that something that starts out as a joke actually takes on the meaning from that joke? The more people who associate the symbol with WP the more it will take on that meaning

I don’t really think you can shut these things down, you'd only be confirming what they know in their minds. That they are dissident thinkers and that is illegal. They’re well organised and would congregate elsewhere fairly quickly with an added chip on their shoulders.

I see your point. But I guess yesterday saw the logical conclusion of allowing it to happen publicly right under their noses

Yes, but you should understand that the idea has been wholly perpetuated by both trolls and Lefties. Not a single genuine white supremacist perpetuated the idea. It would be funny if it was about something less serious.

Best way to fight the current problems in society is to treat the disease not the symptoms, but people don’t want to hear that.

It’s a nice sentiment but it’d only work if Russia, Iran etc do the same.

Plus even without outside interference they’d start to fight each other which would threaten oil supplies.

And there is the slight problem regarding Israel.

My statement definitely included Israel, hopefully that is very clear.

This thread reminds me of this song, recorded 10+ years ago but resonates now more than ever.

As China gets bigger and badder/ The States get shaky on the ladder.

Here is a scenario. A man goes into a packed mosque with an automatic assault weapon. People can rush him but won't get there and because of the rate of fire probably wouldn't try. Alternatively he has a hand gun. People with their families would undoubtedly try to get to him. He will have to reload and will be disarmed without the number of fatalities. Emergency services can get there sooner and treat the less severe injuries. There is a huge difference.

Yes but what happens to Israel if the west (USA) stops interfering?

So far we need to persuade all foreign influence to be removed from the Middle East, all Muslim countries to accept the existence of Israel, the Palestinians need an official homeland, all of ME oil producing cabal to continue supplies, all revolutionary and militant Islamic groups to start being nice etc.

Haven't got a clue but they've probably been lax because they they thought it wouldn't happen to them.

Many people would still die.

Say they can't get an automatic weapon, they just blow the whole place up with a fertiliser bomb.

The argument here isn't about the means of murder, it's stopping the intention before it occurs.

This doesn't happen because it's 'easy', it happens because they're allowed to become radicalised.
