No way. Only in football is this logic of punishing tens of thouands of people for the actions of 1 idiot deemed to be appropriate
If the logic is, you want to send a message to tens of thousands of people that this will not be tolerated then it’s completly appropriate.

The idiot probably only turns up for derby games, surely the bigger message to send to husband kind would be a few weeks or months in jail ?

The problem is, when you have stupidity like that from even one person, in a game which is being shown live nationally and internationally and will instantly be talked about across the media and social media, there’s no way the governing bodies can be in a position where they’re even remotely seen to be saying, ‘Running on a pitch and assaulting a player is okay.’ And as much as I don’t like saying it, in situations like this, they’d be absolutely right in taking somewhat draconian action against the club and the supporters.

Birmingham City always had their fair share of nutters mind going right the way back to the days of The Zulu Warriors. Remember when they played Leeds all those years ago at St Answers and it kicked off?

It’s a contender for sure. Always seemed to come out of there defending yourself or other supporters.
I remember taking my nephew when he was 17. You know what it's like at that age after a few beers. You think can just wander in anywhere untouched. He was adamant that we were going in a pub next to the ground. It took one look at the people stood outside and I got vibe that just no f***ing chance, so I dragged him away.
