Therefore in your world 1 in the afternoon is 1am

You’re 70-odd and can’t tell the time. This is baffling.
 
Has this idiot worked out that 11:59:59am is the end of the first 12 hours of the day and the second 12 hours starts at exactly 12:00:00pm yet?

When I learnt to count the first whole number after zero was one and it progressed om from there, two, three etc.

You clearly believe that has changed or never was the case, so there's no point in any further discussion.

I will, though, leave you with one final task that may help you.

Write down the numbers one to 24 in a straight line and then get out your colouring pencils and use one colour to shade the first 12 and a different colour for the next 12.

The first set will then represent a.m. the next p.m.

Simple enough for any child to understand.

Now troll off!
