And approaching ancient history in beating safc.I was on about this with a mate earlier.
I explained to him as much I have missed the premier league, this season yes we should be in the top two but we have watched young academy lads progress, only lost two league games this season and at times the football has been good to watch. We have now a Wembley final to look forward too and possibly could be back again if we miss out on top two spots come May
Where as your season in which he cut me short and said, we have been to Wembley. I tried to explain its slightly different but he wouldnt listen. Another highlight apparently was breaking the transfer record.
We had a bit banter and I said if it means two year of giving the fans something to cheer about and getting things right off the pitch before we go back to the premier league and then great, it would be an incredible journey.
He finally said "We are in the Premier League now"
So I closed the debate with "fighting relegation each season, possibly no manager come May and an owner no one wants and is reluctant to spend, remind you of a club a couple of year back???"
Nice little quote from the article.
"A humiliating moment forYou must be logged on to see external links, as their first team were playing a team of Newcastle United kids (Under 21s) on equal footing.
The result was irrelevant (although a win for the NUFC kids would have been unreal!), a real low for our neighbours."
But was it though![]()
On equal footing? So when a premiership side play a non-league team in the FA cup, that's an equal footing? I'd have been gutted if we'd lost to the mags' bairns, but we lashed them all owa with our second xi. Nee problems there.Nice little quote from the article.

Can't say I was humiliated
They are desperate to think that we we're so they have the one up, who's laughing now?
Cheesy chips on Wembley way once again![]()
Good ideaWent back for another look at total and voted again![]()
Imagine travelling to London to get nil points at the Emirates while we're at Wembley winning silverware.
So irrelevant it was their biggest away turn out of the season. Then showed how not bothered they were by sitting there quiet as a mouse before sloping off home. It was patheticNice little quote from the article.

Their fairs cup was by invitation. If we win it will break them and that shows you how sad they actually are, aye its a shit trophy but it will still be a cracking day out and they will hate it.
They can bang on about being tin pot, embarrassing, rather not be involved but we all know deep down that they would love a day out to Wembley for a chance of winning something.
