For some reason The Pixies seem to be out of favour but they're still one of the top dogs. The Pixies album that has influenced many a-band. Great shout.
Not a fan of Pearl Jam at all but I can appreciate their influence. Also, I think GISH is the best Smashing Pumpkins album ever.Other more standard ones I'd mention are:
Pearl Jam - Ten
Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
LCD Soundsytem - Sound of Silver
Tool - Lateralus
Jamie XX - In Colour
Marilyn Manson - Holywood
All pure beasts that work as perfect albums.
fantastic albumI’ll start
Despite not being a huge fan of them
Pulp - Different Class
yipThe Cure - Disintegration

I really wanted to hate the Marilyn Manson because he's annoying as fuck, but I really enjoyed a lot of their music.
Interesting choice. All cover versions?Bryan Ferry, These Foolish Things.

After the Goldrush

All my friends love Pearl Jam and I remember that when Ten was released they would play it relentlessly. I wanted to like the album, but Vedder's voice just gets on my nerves after a while, it literally starts to make my throat hurt. No lie. I appreciate their work, but it's just not for me. But I will agree with you that they put on a great live show.Love Pearl Jam, definitely the best band I've ever seen live which is extremely high praise from me, always seen Ten as a perfect debut without a second of filler.
Gish is an interesting choice, very raw record but Mellon Collie has a lot of very personal connections for me which puts it miles up in my own list.
Manson.....fuck it, we'll just agree to disagree before anything starts

Best album he or Roxy Music made. I'm currently playing it in the car it's my all time favourite album by any band or singer. It's also the first album I bought, I think.Interesting choice. All cover versions?
Disagree, but that's the fun of these threads. My fave is Siren but doubt it's the cool kids choice.Best album he or Roxy Music made. I'm currently playing it in the car it's my all time favourite album by any band or singer. It's also the first album I bought, I think.
