Of course, we have looked mainly average/poor for a while now imo. Not had great results either really recently.

??? They do
I've said ok. What you wanting a nosh or something ? PM me your address and I'll send you some flowers.

It's in our hands to win the league. Were on course to win the league.

ROSS OUT

It isn't, we don't play Luton again, if they win all theirs and we win all ours in hypothetical land we finish second unless something very strange happens GD wise

We have to play more than 1 striker at home to the bottom club imho. If not the most atacking midfielder has to support the striker much more.

We made unecessary hard work of that today.

JR needs to be much bolder and attack teams.

Fantastic manager. Working under more scrutiny than any other manager in the league, with a hotch potch of players scraped together at short notice at a club that had been plunged into its darkest days.

With the odd exception, these are bang average players, most of whom will sense the heightened levels of expectation, who will instinctively pick up the ingrained anxiety of a fan base which has come to expect failure and submission.

Despite all that, Ross has relished the opportunity, never sought to make excuses, maintained his composure, never been other than intelligent and thoughtful. What's more, his leadership has meant that these players, whatever their limitations, have never shirked the challenge.

Not all is perfect. He more than anyone will know that. He knows those who part with the their hard earned money want entertainment.

But, as we head for the run in, it's about time we recognised the job he has done and set about stripping away the pessimism that seems to be our default setting.

(P.S. Written in post six nations euphoria.)
This. Very much this.

Ross is by far the best manager we have had for a very long time. Advocaat was decent and Allardyce did a canny job, but neither compare with the potential that Ross has.

Ross has fashioned a successful team out of very little and in the wake of a disastrous period in the club’s history. The players currently at his disposal may never become the same quality as those at Barcelona, Bayern and Madrid, but he has generally optimised their collective performances.

Improvement will be incremental, but with better players each season, he is likely to make an increasingly better job.

He demonstrates the same level of intelligence and ability to articulate his thoughts on football as did Shankly, Clough and Ferguson. SAFC should try to tie this guy to a long contract and convince him that he can create a dynasty here throughout a long-term project.

it is but with 30,000 in Div 3 it would be good to be a bit more attacking against the bottom club. goal difference for a start.

I like JR but 1 striker at home against the teams bottom club is way too negative. Wyke was so isolated it was unreal.

I agree with this, i don't understand why he doesn't go 4-4-2, and go and attack teams at home or at least have a formation with 2 strikers in the box.

If JR persists with that formation the attacking midfielder has to be much closer to the striker and get in the box...Hopefully with Grigg we go 442 more often now.

Which is why i was confused as to why Luke O Nien did not get a start, as he's been doing well of late, attacking midfielder, likes to get into the box, scores goals and yet.. on the bench:confused:
