We’ve just received 3.5m for maja so not unreasonable to think that cash has gone straight back on another centre forward. Everyone knows we’re desperate for one and can hold us to ransom since it’s a last minute deal. Suppose wel find out in the next few days

We haven’t though. 3.5 was the upper end of what we might get from Bordeaux if all the payments are activated. And the first portion was written off against what we still owed them.

I agree about spending on the right people 100%, but there have been some who have questioned their credentials to spend at all

It’s taken them till the last 30 minutes of the transfer window to get a player we’ve been chasing for 2-3 weeks. Lessons need to be learnt going forward but let’s just be satisfied that we’ve spent the money on a player we desperately need.
