3 rising to 4, it’s on the deal sheet
Plus that’s what we got for maja, in one hand out the other

That’s not what he said. He said the understood the deal sheet was in. He then said he understood the fee was 3 rising to 4.

I don’t think we have paid that much. In general, you can take whatever amount the media say, and halve it.

I think it’s accurate tbh, they didn’t want to sell and rejected a bid of around 1.5m. With them losing Vaughan they definitely won’t have wanted to sell so we’d have to have made a very good offer to have it accepted. Wouldn’t be surprised if we doubled our offer at all

Grigg has 60 odd goals in 120 odd games in his last few seasons at this level.

He’s as close to guarantee goals in this division as you can get, and if his scoring rate keeps up he’ll have chipped in with in or around 10 goals and a few assists too.

I feel that would be enough to get us promoted.

A brilliant signing, especially with things looking so desperate earlier.

£3m paid over a 2.5year contract I would assume - £1.2m a year not a great outlay.

£1m add ons for promotion?

Proven ability at this level. Good business.

I agree about spending on the right people 100%, but there have been some who have questioned their credentials to spend at all

Let them.. it adds to the debate on here, one thing this forum isn't is boring, because of all the sides of the spectrum are represented.

I don’t think we have that kind of money to be honest. Even in our desperate situation, I don’t think you jump from 1.5 to 3 rising to 4.

I think 3 is closer to what the top amount would be, including all the extra payments.

We’ve just received 3.5m for maja so not unreasonable to think that cash has gone straight back on another centre forward. Everyone knows we’re desperate for one and can hold us to ransom since it’s a last minute deal. Suppose wel find out in the next few days
