If Vaughan is going to Portsmouth I can't see them wanting to lose another forward so there are going to screw us if they have to sell.
I find it bizarre that they've been playing Vaughan quite regularly (certainly more than Grigg) and are letting him go. Grigg hasn't always been in the team yet they're fighting tooth and nail to keep him

This.

I OBVIOUSLY don't want us to be paying out ridiculous fees that will put the club in jeopardy again, but too many people do not realise the implications of us spending an extended period in league 1. We must make sure that we give ourselves the best possible chance of going up without being completely reckless.
It will end up being loan players then at the 11th hour.
Personally I wouldn’t pay over the odds for a player regardless

£3m quid and i'd tell them to fuck off and go get Moore from Barnsley instead
I’d rather pay that for Moore anyway

Not that we will be shelling money like that out anyway

Not sure any of the players linked would be any good if we do get promotion.
Need to get someone in on loan who can do a job for 4 months.
Ashley Fletcher would be better than some unproven youngster. At least he was starting to look half decent towards the end of last season.

They only really use Grigg when Nick Powell is playing apparently. Must play well together

Have we? Wasn't aware of that. 3m is ridiculous and they are simply trying to take our eyes out as we are desperate.

the Craic before yesterday was we'd made 4 bids, two of which had met their valuation, but they still hadnt accepted. we all thought that how the installments were being paid was the issue, or that they were waiting for a replacement. seems more likely now they're looking at us having sold Maja for up to 3.5m (eventually hopefully) and are wanting more.

I would have Fletcher back i thought he was actually alright last year in difficult circumstances. Maja looked awful last year in pretty much same yet has flourished this year. Not saying it would be the same but I wouldn't write him off just for struggling in that team last year. He was actually decent running with the ball too.

It's worth far more than that. Our gates will drop off a cliff if we're down here for another season, and the owners will lose a lot of momentum and goodwill. We need to be going back up now, we're in such a good position.
I might be judging match attending fans' feelings completely wrong here but I don't see that happening tbh.

To be fair he looked like he was getting a bit of confidence in the last few games.

Agree. Anyone who dont see us being in League one for another season is an idiot. It would be a massive failure and the feel good factor would be lost. The momentum would be gone. Its not all about numbers on a spreadsheet.

Yeah well I think when we had likes of McNair in and had an actual okay side out we didn't look that bad. Problem was that the keeper couldn't save a shot and every free kick was getting crossed in and headered in.

Us and Burton conceded the highest % of shots that were on target at close to 40%. Can't do that over a season & expect to stay up!
