His original conviction was found to be unsound and he was found innocent in the retrial. A jury can only return 'guilty' or 'not guilty'. You are basically advocating for everyone accused of a crime to be treated as less than innocent when they are found to be innocent of a crime. It is as if you are saying "Well we didn't get him, but we can still shun him".

No, I'm not. I'm simply saying that he wasn't "found innocent". There's no such finding in the laws of England & Wales, so far as I know. The possible verdicts of a jury are either guilty or not guilty, or the jury is unable to reach a verdict. I'm saying no more, no less.
