Wigan trying to squeeze as much as possible. They’ve played it well to be fair. Maja going played into their hands. Managers comments the other day not guaranteeing he would still be at Wigan and every player has a price etc. he was always gonna go.

Doesn’t make sense...saying we have met valuation but bid rejected. They haven’t come out and said they don’t want to sell though...must be about how much upfront etc. got to be minor detail now so still think it will happen.

Could be they ask for a nunber then when we meet it add a clause on

Suspect it will be haggling over how much up front, what installments/clauses etc. I think we'll get him.

We'll see like.
But the noises Wigan have made lately mean that if Griff doesn't leave, for here or elsewhere, they will have an unhappy player on their hands.

Hope whoever we have settled on we get them sined tomorrow, I can't be doing with having to spend all of Thursday watching sky sports and on here as well as constantly doing searches on everyone we are linked with.

Grigg is happy at Wigan but every player has his price. Wigan held out for their valuation and Grigg is doing the same. He has to future proof the deal. No-one wants to go from Championship wages to League One wages. There is no guarantee we will be promoted. If we go up then all well and good but he won't want to stay on the same wages. Wigan know we are desperate. Grigg knows we are desperate. We are trying hard to get the best deal but sometimes you just have to pay what they ask. It just takes a while to get there. We need to look like we are getting a good deal and so do Wigan.
