Who’s to say he won’t play regular games in France?
It’s a step up in money but also standard of play and club.
If have any ambition you have to back yourself to make that step up.

I don’t begrudge Maja...the only thing that frustrates me is why not just be upfront with owners? “Im not signing, go ahead and look for my replacement.” Instead of this whole fuckin drama...? It’s fuckin childish imo.

The thing is no players ever come out with the obvious which is ‘I’m moving for more money’.
It’s clear what’s happened and I place no blame at owners doors as they’ve offered him what they think is fair and affordable. If that still no good for Maja it’s only sensible to pick up 3m when we could end up with far less in summer

First time I’ve ever agreed with you I suspect, but spot on for once.

Maja’s not conducted himself well here.

Said for weeks he wouldn't sign. Can go fcuk off with Darren Bent ,Asamoah Gyan and the rest of his crew

It seems that Maja is off to Bordeaux for a decent fee , €4 mil reported . Has anyone heard of a sell on clause ? Hopefully it's a decent % as Maja will fill his boots in France for a season, and then he'll be back in the uk for £20 million plus.

Gyan?

It’s all very well blaming agents but ultimately it’s down to Maja himself to sign or not as was the case.
I’m not altogether sure of ins and outs or how Maja has conducted himself to be honest.
He has to look after number 1 and the club have to do the same.
There is zero loyalty in football other than from the fans.

Disappointed to lose him. Its always a cause for concern losing the top scorer. I can see why someone has taken a punt on him because he is as cold as ice in and around the box. At a higher level don't think these qualities will be enough to override the deficiencies in his game outside the box I can't see him ever being good enough to be a top flight player in England. In France or at championship level he might do alright. Its all about how we replace now

He's almost certainly got a sell on clause, because Donald has alluded to it on Twitter

We have no idea what the % is

He might not fill his boots in France, his current goalscoring ratio in league one is about on par with James Vaughan's from a couple of seasons ago so he's proved nowt

He might end up being a £20m player or he might end up at Scunthorpe next

by spending money from the billionaire aharholder? by growing turnover-which they already have done..by investing more in the academy, which we already have done..by addressing the bloated cost base..which they have done,,

when did the spurs owner ever reveal his plan to take the club forward? they have gone forward...is joe lewis not ahigh calibre owner?

The billionaire is getting into politics so will probably not be getting involved.

how are they pout of their depth? yku do know stewart has run a league one club in the past?? and that he runs businesses bigger than sunderland every day?

catts was ok first half, poor second half..

Out of his depth owning Sunderland. We may be in league one but we are far from a league one caliber club. Do you have no ambition? What businesses of his have had a higher turnover than Sunderland over the past 10 years?

Where is the transfer kitty that would be the envy of most championship clubs? Y

This has been dragging on since the summer, we agreed a deal...instead of giving us an answer before the window opened, to give us a good idea what we needed. Maja and his agent drug it into the window. It’s almost like they did it on purpose...there’s no need. It’s fuckin a ***** trick.

You do not place blame at the owners door for Maja, fair enough but they should have planned for this eventuality and have had a replacement ready.
