Have you ever considered that the club don't feel that they're good enough to offer new contracts to?
If the club is aiming to get promoted then they probably don't want to sign league 2 standard or below players to long term contracts

Well if they think that about Embleton then they are completely wrong.

Yeah Maja different to Hume and Embleton no doubt, no real affinity to the club has he.
Maybe his team mates asked him to sort himself out for the benefit of everyone...would like to think so!They are all desperate to go up ...hea leasing scorer dont want to lose him in final day!I kna id have a word so think the likes of Catts would

Listen mate, what the fuck is your problem? Sick of you replying talking shite when I am making reasonable posts

If you don't like me fine, I don't care, but stick me on ignore, you are so boring ffs.

You don't seem to have any interest on what is going on at Sunderland, just a clear agenda to come on and kick off with people who disagree with you.

Please just stick me on ignore, had enough of you.
Most on here have had enough of you and your know it all posts. Wind your neck in!!!

I spoke to him after the Charlton match (I was in a hostility – sic – suite, and he came in as he’d been voted MOTM). And he said exactly this. Had nothing against us just wanted to be back home.

I was very impressed with him both on the pitch and off it. Has a presence and comes across as a smart lad. Shame, as he would have been a big player for us. Ho hum.

I was impressed both times I've seen him play this year. I take heart that our owners/ new scouting team identified him early as a player they wanted.

Think we need to learn from the maja situation and make sure we are protected in the future, stuff like 1 year options in contracts etc

Also on Hume and Embleton, we could of offered terms and be im discussions already but if not there could be loads of reasons why we havent. I liked the look of hume but he is a bit of a sick note and i dont know an awful lot about Embleton, are they seen as future 1st teamers?

Tbh i'm done with getting angry or upset at players wanting/ not wanting to play for Sunderland, particularly League One players. The club will survive with or without him. He's a young lad and he's probably only thinking about himself and his future, i'm not gonna hold that against him - I have no doubt in the future he'll come to regret how he left the club that developed him.
Tbh mate, I'd have said the same if he was sold or stayed till the end of the season scoring goals for us. It just seems totally unnecessary to leave in this manner to me.

No...you just sign them.

So the incompetency of the Short, Byrne and Bain era rubbles on, for these are the clowns responsible for the running down of Maja's contract. How much more would Bordeaux have to pay today with say 18 months more left on his contract ?
I'll tell you, probably what Cattermole and Oviedo will earn in the remainder of theirs.

Embleton definitely is isn't he? The Grimsby fans seem to love him and they're only one step below us.

Why isn't it all their fault? Owners have been around the club since the Wolves game.

How on earth can you blame Byrne, she left f***ing ages ago!

Iblame Steve Bruce!

Oh grow up man ffs.

They got a hell of a deal like, deal of the century for a club our size, debt free and on the cheap, with loads of players that can be sold for money, don't buy a club if you can't afford to do it, the way you go on about them is nauseating.
It’s you who is going on about them constantly and always negatively. I am giving them the respect they deserve for taking on a massive club but an even more massive task in stabilising us and getting us back up the leagues.

But you don’t want to give them either time or a chance.

You are a fuckin embarrassment to true Sunderland supporters and you should do everyone a favour and just fuck off you odious twat:evil:

What would you have offered Maja last season? Curious...

You are going on like they are doing it for charity

Its an unreal deal and unreal opportunity for them.

This is so ridiculous post, so out of order. Shown your true colours there.

Aye true however we hopefully will be 2 levels above them when his loan finishes. To be honest you should never have academy lads in the last 6 months of their contract if a) they might break into the first team or b) we can make some money selling them
