30+ games a season will do me

He'll probably slip over on a poorly gritted path on his first day here mind; snap his legs clean off.

Still fit enough to play though.
Indeed. Was just surprised to see that many sub appearances.

Just over 30 appearances a season means he's missed on average a third of the games played each year. That said it could also involve a number of games on the bench where he didn't come on.

Edit: Mind his record at Wigan suggests he's been involved pretty much every week

Been reading the Wigan fans’ views on the lad. A lot seem to think he’d be a capable to very good Championship striker in a good footballing side.

Since the first couple of months of the season (when Grigg did score a few) Cook has apparently thrown out the blueprints for his success (partly due to injuries) and they’ve become a bit of a hit and hope long ball team which obviously doesn’t suit Grigg.

Worryingly some suggest Grigg needs three good chances to score (which would be no good for us as we simply don’t create many chances) but reassuringly some say that’s not right and he only needs half a chance and has an excellent conversion rate. So who knows on that.

They also say his link up play and his ability to hold it up is underrated and that he works his bollocks off.
