Its not hindsight, virtually all of our young players are out of contract in 6 months

you can make as many excuses as you want but its not a coincidence like, clearly bit of a fuck up.
You still haven't answered the question.

4 young players in the last season of their contract who had not as yet proved themselves. Tell me, what you would have offered them and the justification for it.

As i said, hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Former Sunderland forward Joel Asoro has opened up on his tough start to life at Swansea, whilst sacked pair Papy Djilobodji and Didier Ndong have made their first starts together for Guingamp. Asoro hoping for first-team chance As Josh Maja’s contract wrangle rumbles on and the likelihood of him leaving increases, the plight of his former...

How the fuck do I know?

Then give up with your "should have tied them down/ offer them what they want" comments.

Which of the 4 based on previous form would you have tied down to long term deals on the off chance as you yourself put it "a gamble".

Not what you know now but as of august when they entered their final season.

Seriously marra, have a look at what you post. You criticise the owners and others yet fail to respond to specific questions when asked. If football management was such a simple thing then please tell me what you wouls have offered so that their contracts didn't run out.

New owners, new manager. Both wanting to see how the current squad performed before commiting long term, seems reasonable to me.

Why? We shouldn't bet letting all our youngplayers get down to the last 6 months of their deals man, fuck sake

How the fuck am I meant to know the individual wage of each player, neither do you, so if I can't comment then neither can you

If all your young players have their contracts running out then as a c lub you are doing something wrong, basic.

By the previous regime, aye.

From when the new owners have taken over they have had the chance to sort the contracts out

Sounds like they were on very low wages to start I.e maja on £600 so I don’t think the expectations would have been that high like you say they hadn’t proved themselves so it’s not as if they could have asked for mega money ?

Yeah hindsight is a wonderful thing like you say back August if you said to me which player would be kicking on massively out of maja and embleton then I would have said embleton all day But come the end of September I would have seen that maja and Hume were first team squad players to say the least so would have went in with appropriate offers then

How? Owners been here almost since end of last season

How the fuck do I know?
And they had a lot of very pressing things to sort out that effected the immediate future of the club, so rightly prioritised them. If they'd given out contracts and the young players had amounted to nearly nothing then everyone would be complaining about that (rightly so). They prioritised things that needed sorted straight away - that we had so many players out of contract at the same time was a negligence of the previous regime.

Same as above.

Yeah fair enough but been ;lenty of time

they've done a lot of good for sure but have messed thisissue up a bit

In the long run do we not have to establish a reputation

A) that we have a good system for establishing potential talent at youth level

B) that we have excellent training facilities and coaches to help that talent develop

C) that products of the academy will be given opportunities in the first time when the time is ready (and not be held up by too many “final payday” types)

D) that if acceptable offers come in that offer young players better opportunities we will not stand in their way, but use the money raised to strengthen our squad and background staff

The days when the club could simply waste money, at the whim of a rich guy who had the club as his plaything, were really not that good were they?

I disagree with that I fink it was massively important to get the right players in during the summer but after that I fink the next pressing matter was tieing the best young players down

Charlie done a podcast they asked him did they have a plan he said yes take advantage of the academy as it’s one of the very best in the country they want to bring in young talent develop them play them then sell on for big profit and start again always looking to add very good young talent To the club

So if that’s the plan surely it would be urgent to get the best 4 young players from the academy tied down

This is exactly what Charlie said the gameplan was but for this to work they had to tie down the best young players earlier than now

People massively using hindsight to wrongly criticise the club for not giving all the young players better deals in the summer, when we didn't know how they would turn out.
If we had we could have half, or more, of them on deals who we actually want rid of.
Club needs a new Crystal ball I think.

Then pull your head in when stating that the club should have offered them deals in August. You seriously need to read what you post before you hit reply.

You've carried on about the owners not giving the youngsters new contracts yet won't respond to what they should have been offered. If i recall the owners have offered Maja what he wanted. Your response to this is that they should have offered it earlier yet he was unproven at the time.

You're now saying that the owners are finally doing what you've been saying by making bids to strengthen. If they'd have offered the youngun's new contracts those funds may not be available.

Not sure which reality you live in but i's sure as hell glad you've got nothing to do with the running of our club.

His agents been a bit cryptic on Twitter last night and this morning. People are expecting news I think, some reckon he’s staying but that’s probably 2 + 2 = 39494948
