I hope this is not true. I want players with 100% commitment. I've seen enough of those who down tools with no valid excuse.
 
Fuck it. I’m out on Will Grigg. Let’s go and get someone like John Marquis - who is one of the best strikers in the division and never gets a mention - or pivot entirely and use the Grigg money to get Marcus Maddison in. I do wonder whether we’d be far better off improving our stodgy creativity rather than simply thinking a finisher solves our issues.

is maddison better than honeyman and mcgeady? marquids has a much worse record in this league than grigg..

He’s better creatively than Honeyman certainly. And he’s more productive in this league than McGeady on the evidence to date. And while marquis had a worse record than Grigg, he’d be cheaper, fitter and it’s not finishing that we lack in any case.

maddison is a wrong un though isnt he? bad attitude i mean? and ex mag? why would marquis be fitter? and it is finishing we lack excluding maja..

Disagree completely about the finishing. We’ve got ourselves into a situation where we’re getting away with poor creativity because Maja has been on a hot streak. Even with that continuing, our results have deteriorated as it doesn’t take much of a defensive downturn or reduction in attacking efficiency to cancel that out. We need to create more chances and better chances and increase our overall shot volume. That involves improving our creativity rather than hoping we can find another striker on a similar hot run to Maja.

Maddison is a MLF by the way.
