He seemed to realise in his post match interview, normally he defends them and states its another point. Think he realises he cant keep saying that.

Now he has to be ruthless with some of them, especially Gooch, Catts and Power.

Mathews in....O`Nien up into midfield. Personally cant believe hes still playing the 3 mentioned earlier, they will get him into tonnes of bother, hope he kniws that.

No, I’m realistic and not deluded. We are a league 1 football club. We have league 1 players. Yes Cattermole, Oviedo etc are on premier league wages but it’s irrelevant. They are playing in this league for a reason. It’s a tough league. They won 4 on the bounce before today.

We've drawn double figures this year mate. We are scared to take the game to anyone until we go behind. Even in a lot of the games we have won we have hung on in tight games.

Even against the mags in the first half we were scared to attack them really, didn't test the keeper at all & you could see we were miles better than them. Ross talks about dominating play in games which is fine but it's no good if we can't create any chances & then the opposition can just do us from a set play.

In fairness, and this is purely only as far as changing a game and making substitutions goes, he’s the best manager we’ve had in years. He takes players off who aren’t doing what he wants and he usually switches things about quite early in the second half fairly consistently. So if there’s an issue here, it’s probably more to do with our actual squad depth placing a limit on how much he’s actually able to change things around, rather than for want of trying.
Our squad depth is probably the best in the division. I thought the bench today was a strong one. We seem to be playing a less pressing game now than at he start of the season. The midfield is a problem they aren't protecting the defence nor creating anything up front. We've got a midfielder playing full back and a full back on the bench. Our set pieces are pathetic and cause no problem to opposition defences yet we continually concede goals from set pieces. These things should be addressed in training. It's all well and good analysing the oppositions strengths and weaknesses, it's another thing doing something about it on a match day! If we can see it as supporters what's going on? It's so frustrating.

I would say he needs to be ruthless with his two CB’s and keeper about sending rescue flares up the pitch every time they touch the ball...

The onus is on the owners now. We’re backing them as fans with some tremendous turn outs. They need to bring in one or two players. Hopefully a statement of intent. It won’t take much at all to turn these draws into wins and remove a lot of nerves
The owners must invest because if we dont go up they wont sell anywhere near the amount of season tickets. It really is the final roll of the dice for quite alot of fans.

Have you seen Catts running to one of their players when the CBs receive the ball.......ive mentioned it every game he plays.

Runs to be marked and points to someone else......generally wide as Power does not make space either.

Watch next time........if he plays.

Wtf does that mean? You can go the whole season without a loss and still get relegated. The performances have been shit lately...we have the most expensive squad in the league and we are reduced to a route 1 long-ball, kick and chase club...it’s fuckin embarrassing that some stick up for that shit, tbh.

Name one club that this has happened to.

I haven’t read the whole thread so apologies if you’ve already answered this but out of interest if you were Donald what would you do? Get rid and get in someone with a track record for getting out the league a la Jackett or Grayson or stick with him and hope he turns it around?
He’s got no money so stick with him. That’s where the club has gone wrong over the years having to pay so many people off. If we don’t go up this year then he hasn’t got long next season

Not allowed to question the next Jock Stein mate.
There's a massive difference between questioning things

What a ridiculous thing to say. "Runs to be marked". You need help.

Not for me, I am happy that we are still in contention for automatic promotion, we poorly today but we move onto the next game. You just seem to like to whinge
We've got used to saying we've benn sleepwalking to relegation last few seasons. Now we're sleeping walking to the playoffs and people are still saying we'll be OK! We need to address our problems now! We can't keep drawing games and expect to maintain our league position. We were looking up to the to the top of the league a few weeks ago, now we're looking over our shoulders!

Noticed this- his voice wavering a bit

Cattermole was always at his best for us in a 3 where there was a holding player. Can't see how he'd suddenly have the legs to dominate for us in a 2 regardless of the division. Simply doesn't have the legs, he didn't in the prem but if you give him a limited role then he's excellent. Think Ross has it wrong with him in a 2.

Seen him skinned on another occasions where he has to foul them & get booked or pull out the tackle and let them get away.

Agree, we need 'legs' in the middle marra. Also, f***ing desperate for movement and creativity.

It would be nice if we could actually keep the ball in the middle. McGeough provides that and as you say mate O’Nien will give us some much needed energy in there.

Cattermole and Power together will never work, both too static. Powers been shite since that rescinded red. Although O’Nien’s been good at RB we’ve still badly missed Matthews too.

Well after last two seasons finished bottom each time we now have people falling out about being 3rd coming up to 30 games lost 2 if we win our next game and Pompey and Luton draw we would be in a pretty good place .
If we can see what's wrong why can't Jack Ross. Yeah we've only lost 2 but drawn 11! We're not learning lessons. We're doing the same week after week it's no wonder teams have sussed us out. Relying on results of teams around us is negative. When we get in front in games we should protect what we have!

Name one club that this has happened to.
It's hypothetical but unlkely!

I remember Juventus getting relegated in 2006 after losing four games - I don’t think anyone has lost fewer times than that and been relegated, and even then, that was because they were caught match fixing. If you’re good enough on the whole to ‘not get beat,’ as a general rule, it usually follows that you’ll be good enough to convert a few of your draws into wins and have a reasonable win percentage too. I mean, even if we were to only win 10% (over a 46 game season we’ve already won 30%) of our league games all season, and draw the rest, that would see us comfortably mid-table and for what it’s worth, last season Charlton made the final play-off place after losing 15 games compared to Plymouth’s 16, so I don’t think there’s any reason for people to be hitting the f***ing panic button just yet...

Very harsh Mceough being left out today. Gooch, is the one who I don't understand being on the pitch...baffling.
