No, I’m realistic and not deluded. We are a league 1 football club. We have league 1 players. Yes Cattermole, Oviedo etc are on premier league wages but it’s irrelevant. They are playing in this league for a reason. It’s a tough league. They won 4 on the bounce before today.

I see your point but Ross is putting a midfielder at right back, one of players of the season in Matthews on the bench, an international left back on the bench, and Mcgeouch must be considering a transfer request after consistently being one of our best players yet dropped every time Cattermole and Power are available. That's the manager not the players.

Presumably McClaughlin kicking long despite only having Maja up front is managers instructions too.
 
The onus is on the owners now. We’re backing them as fans with some tremendous turn outs. They need to bring in one or two players. Hopefully a statement of intent. It won’t take much at all to turn these draws into wins and remove a lot of nerves

Were over half way through January and we’ve signed one young lad on loan who after today doesn’t look any better (or worse) than what we’ve got. Penny pinching shite

Aye if we have Oviedo he should be starting. O’Nien has been good but Matthews needs to go back. McGeough needs to go back in, I like him. Move O’Nien CM in Honeyman’s position for now.

Do you watch the games? The midfield is bypassed...we hoof the ball into the other half of the pitch and chase after it! Every game theres someone on here saying we missed this player or that player, when in fact, it doesnt matter who is in midfield. They have no purpose other than to run up and down the pitch chasing the ball...its fuckin pathetic. It’s so bad and it has been going on now for a number of games that it has to be instructions from the manager...theres no way we are playing this way without it being on purpose!

We created very little all game. Our first effort was on about 40 mins from Maguire that was skyed miles high and wide. I’m not convinced that was our game plan tbh.

It’s been similar all season tbf. Us having a good keeper and a good striker has seemed to be the difference.

Of course it’s a good result if you think Scunthorpe are a better side than us and we managed to get a point.

But we only have one more game to go in January in the league. No need to rush, might as well try and get good deals. Trust me, I'll not be shy to criticise if we aren't strong enough come the end of the month, but I'll give them a chance

I haven’t read the whole thread so apologies if you’ve already answered this but out of interest if you were Donald what would you do? Get rid and get in someone with a track record for getting out the league a la Jackett or Grayson or stick with him and hope he turns it around?

Wtf does that mean? You can go the whole season without a loss and still get relegated. The performances have been shit lately...we have the most expensive squad in the league and we are reduced to a route 1 long-ball, kick and chase club...it’s fuckin embarrassing that some stick up for that shit, tbh.
