If he was doing a fantastic job he would have built on our decent early season form but the performances lately have been dire.

I think dire is a bit extreme marra.

We’ve blown some teams away.

Yes it’s gone a bit stale but we’re still in with a good chance of going up.

Not sure what to think anymore. Maybe we should just be grateful to exist as a club ? Let’s face it if we go up we will be straight back down unless 10 million + is spent as our team is awful. Power has been a grave disappointment as has Wyke. 2 players I’ve akways felt will come good. McGeouch not as good as we thought, the centre backs aren’t great, albeit Dunne was a shining light in a awful day.
Cattermole is pathetic. O’Nien good league 1 player but that’s it, Gooch is crap .... we also miss Honeyman immensely, on and off the ball. Maja also won’t be here next season. Despite how bad we’ve been for months, we still have a reasonable chance of top 2, but is it worth it ?

Oh I don’t think people think he should be sacked, just his honeymoon period appears to be over.

Which given we’ve lost two games is pretty staggering. I never expected him to turn things around immediately. I think the signings have been ok. The keeper and Baldwin look good. Maguire has been fantastic on occasions and Power looked the real deal at the start of the season.

In my opinion this is a blip. A few players out of form and a hectic schedule. We aren’t losing games and we just need to grind it out.

Perhaps you are right, but it's a rather significant blip. We haven't scored more than one goal in a league game since the end of November. We aren't creating enough chances are we are allowing teams to catch us up. With this squad of players we should be at the top of the league imo.

We've been unlucky with injuries, red cards and suspensions at times mind, but we need a change, whether ot's a change of formation/tactics or a few new signings that can walk into the first team and improve it.

Well after Moyes ,Grayson ,Coleman I think the lads done a fair job to date.He had to cobble together a side most from scratch ok there's been mistakes some signings not good ,however you have to keep in mind he is learning managing at this level .The last three games whilst admittedly not play at the top of our game need to consider we've played two of our rivals for promotion both in good form, then today Scunthorpe who are second on current form in their last 6 games .Portsmouth have lost their last 2 and Peterboro whom people were saying we would t catch a short while back look at them now in short what I'm trying to say is we just keep near the head of the race we have a good chance be honest who would have thought that last may

Our big problem is midfield - we are just not controlling/dominating games. It is so slow, pedestrian, predictable and useless.

Power has been terrible since his last red card was overturned - seems scared to get involved. Catts & Power is an awful combination and Gooch is off form too.

Think we really need to shake this up -- I'd go with McGeoch and O'Nien (Matthews can return at right back) in the centre and drop Gooch (for McGuire) until Honeyman is fit.

Agree with this.
Our midfield is slow, doesnt connect well to our attack.
Nobody can seem to beat a player.
Our lack of creativity is now hurting us.

We haven't blown teams away mate. Last night I was on here defending Ross but today that was not good enough at all. Change in tact is needed, hope he bollocks the players publically after the game. Think we have become complacent as a club past few weeks.

Tbf who do you expect to get? The bloke has you 3rd. You ended up with Grayson because nobody wanted to touch you. Dunno wtf went on with Coleman, always thought that was odd, but Ross is about the best you can expect and you are 3rd. Still plenty of time left.

We’ve been atrocious for weeks though. We will end up 6th and get humbled in the play off semi’s.

Not going to be overly critical of Ross who’s had a massive learning curve since he arrived but he needs to start earning his corn now.

He’s got to look at how we’re set up. We draw far too many and create very little in the way of genuine goal scoring opportunities. The midfield axis of Power/Cattermole or McGeoch sits far too deep but neither offers effective protection for our defence or supports an often isolated striker.

Maybe worth trying 352 now Dunne is here and whoever is responsible for our set pieces needs pedalling ASAP - we must get at least a dozen decent set piece chances a game and never look remotely threatening from any of them.

Comes to something when it taks a mag to talk sense

Is Grigg the only option though, are we repeating a mistake we've made in the past whereby we put all of our eggs into one basket, fail to agree a fee/terms and then resort to signing an alternative out of sheer desperation.

We do need a striker no doubt, but that's not the only position we need to strengthen.

We need a striker, a big fuck off beast in central midfield, and maybe a winger capable of actually crossing. We shouldn't have all our eggs in the Will Grigg basket but to be fair the club might have other offers/ enquiries out that we don't know about so I'll let them off on that one

Nothing wrong with questioning Ross after half a season in the role, however I was pleased with the side he put out today. They're just not doing it at the moment, we're struggling for goals and can't kill games off.

Wtf?

You're pleased he persists with Power?

What happened to this notion we wouldnt draw many games as stewart donald said he prefers to go for the win and lose as opposed to sitting back and seeing games out

Lee Clark at Huddersfield esque, don't lose many but draw far to much.

I've heard Wagner likes a project ;) not that he'd come here
