I hope we’ve got all the leagues in England from the conference up, scouted and scoured. We need the talent from anywhere in the British Isles, there’s plenty of it, and a lot we can afford even on a shoestring budget.

This window should most definitely be dedicated to making our squad the most feared in the league. I feel like for all our wasted breath, we still don’t have raw pace, or brute strength, or someone on the wing who likes to cross the ball, and cross it early. We arguably lack height, it’s obviously not imperative to have a team of giants, but an option of a tall striker would be ideal. I get Wyke is a targetman, but not in the same mould as someone a lot bigger like Eaves or Matt Smith.

If there’s a type of player we want but can’t acquire permanently, the loan market should be used, and as I’ve said before, from the second a loan player joins us, we should be on the lookout for his replacement. This Dunne kid could be outstanding and single handedly help us keep a string of cleansheets that lead to us getting promoted, but if that’s so, the likelihood of him joining permanently would be slim.

league one is horrendous, we already have a lot of good players at the club, the old owners pays off the debts, allowing you to cut costs in every department, and minimal investment in the team

this is not a criticism, good luck to them, the PR and feel good factor has been great, but they aren't performing miracles, this was an unbelievable opportunity for any investor

I totally agree with main point of your post, but would you have said the same thing if we were bottom 6 and the feel good factor had gone?

If we are still in this league next year the enthusiam and good will will sink quicker thanone of Charlie Methven's cocktails.
A lot of folk and I include myself amongst them will be desperately disappointed if promotion is not achieved this year.
I believe this is the best chance we will ever have or we could be doomed to be an ingrained league1 team for ever and a day.

You’re 100% correct, if promotion isn’t achieved this season the attendances will drop dramatically next season thus reducing our financial position even more, every effort must be made to assist Ross in achieving promotion this season, penny pinching will come back to bite us on the bum.

But we can’t get into the premier league in 2020 without promotion this season so it would lose us potential for bigger income.

So good all these investors were fighting each other to buy it eh? We were a car crash of a club and no one wanted to touch us with a shitty stick after looking at the accounts.

Or he's simply turned down the contract offered to him. I don't know which one it is (if he doesn't sign) but your view is simplistic to the point of being plain silly.

Best case scenario if he’s really determined not to sign and there aren’t any offers for him. As long as he keeps scoring we keep him and go up at the end of the season. We will be in the championship and can wish him luck as he leaves the club.
